Manoj Jarange Patil Political Career

Manoj Jarange came to Jalna from Beed in search of a job after the 12th standard due to poor economic conditions at home. After coming to Jalna, he worked as a waiter in a hotel.
Jarange was very fond of social work. He was always ready to bring justice to the needy. This is why he joined the Bharatiya Congress Party in 2003. Seeing the success of his work, he was given the post of Youth Congress District President of Jalna District by the Congress.But he remained active in politics for a long time.  He could not. In 2003, he left the Congress. And the reason for this was that the stand taken by the Congress in the James Lane case was not acceptable to Jarange, so he left the party.

Manoj Jarange Patil has a long association with agitation. He has done many agitations and made them successful.

His most famous movement was the water movement of 2012-13. He won the support of thousands of people in his movement to open the gates of the left canal of Jayakwadi dam for the farmers. And he made this movement successful.

In the year 2014, he founded the Shobha Sangathan. This organization held agitations for the demand of Maratha reservation.

In 2016 Manoj erected a 500 crore saffron flag at Nag Narayan Fort in Beed. He was widely discussed.

The most important movement in Manoj Jarange Patil’s life is Maratha Reservation. He has been protesting for many years to get reservation for Maratha community. For this he also sold his land. He started this movement with Maratha Kranti Morcha. Later this movement was not successful but he  Did not give up.
After that in 2021 held a protest in Sasht Pimpalgaon. This protest lasted for 90 days i.e. 3 months and finally the government had to accept their demands and they withdrew the protest.
Also, he successfully demonstrated the movement to get financial help to the families of the persons who died in the Maratha reservation Protest at Bori Gandhari.

In August 2023, he again started the Maratha agitation. This time he decided to go on a hunger strike.
But during the hunger strike, the police lathi charged the crowd there. Due to this lathicharge, the agitation flared up further. And this agitation was discussed in the entire country.
During the agitation many political leaders visited the agitation site.
He speculated that the government agreed to some demands but would not call off the hunger strike until all demands were met.

Manoj did many agitations and hunger strikes throughout the year and toured the whole of Maharashtra. Finally he planned to go to Mumbai. He challenged the government that on January 20, 2 crore Marathas would leave from Antarawali Sarathi and return to Mumbai on January 27 unless they give reservation They will not come. They decided the place of protest to be Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk in Mumbai. On January 20, lakhs of Marathas left Antarawali Sarathi village and reached Mumbai, the number changed to crores.
Finally, even though the government accepted all their demands, the Jarange will not withdraw their agitation until they get an ordinance from the government. Finally, the government gave an ordinance. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde handed over the ordinance to the Jarange in the presence of crores of Marathas.

Even though the government has agreed to all the demands, they have not yet been implemented. After giving the GR, the government has to issue an order in the next six months and there will be elections in the country in the next two months. Political analysts say that these decisions will be taken before the elections.
